Gravestone Art Cemetery Tour

This walk will introduce you to the symbolism found on New England gravestones in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. East Hill is filled with unusual and significant examples of the carver's art. While we wander among the stones examining death's heads, urns & willows, and soul effigies, we will also learn about the people and their lives in Peterborough's early days including the story of a witch.
