Electric Earth Concerts presents “Hot Flamenco!” on Sunday, August 4 at 4PM at the Temple Congregational Church in Temple, New Hampshire. Jazz-flamenco guitarist Juanito Pascual and percussionist José Moreno present a concert of mostly original compositions, in styles ranging from the vibrantly rhythmic and virtuosic to melodic and soul-stirring.
Juanito Pascual is an internationally recognized guitarist and “flamenco phenom” (Boston Globe). NPR has called him "One of the hottest flamenco guitarists in recent years." His sound is a truly organic blend of masterful traditional and contemporary flamenco with influences ranging from Jimi Hendrix and the Grateful Dead to Miles Davis and J.S. Bach.
Multi-talented flamenco performer José Moreno is the son of Spanish flamenco dancer Etrella Moreno and singer Pepe de Málaga. José began as a dancer under his mother’s tutelage while still a toddler and has gone on to perform with many of top flamenco artists and companies from Spain and the United States. Highly sought after (also) as a percussionist and flamenco vocalist, José brings a lifetime of experience, mastery and vibrancy to every facet of his art.
Admission is $30, payable online or at the door via cash or check. Students may attend for free. For more information contact Joan Epro at 603.499.6216 or see our website using the Learn More link.
