It is getting close - we are approaching the 75th anniversary of the Keene Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society – the original New Hampshire chapter and the premiere a cappella choral group in Keene. After a grand holiday season of community singing – over 15 performances between the chorus and UpGray’d Quartet – the Cheshiremen Chorus is getting ready for the great year ahead. First off? We are the Singing Valentines guys – and we are actively booking time slots and travel right now. Best you do not procrastinate! However, we are actively hoping to grow our chorus and our quartets, today - and all-year long!
Please join us for an OPEN SING guest event on Tuesday, January 20 at 6:30 PM at the United Church of Christ – Keene (Vernon St. entry) in downtown Keene. Men are invited to try barbershop harmony. Visit us for a welcoming, no-pressure evening of music, camaraderie, and fun – while learning about barbershop harmony and what makes this genre so unique - it is easy! Sing alongside a great bunch of guys and enjoy a relaxed, no-audition, supportive group. Meet fellow music enthusiasts and find your voice. Ring some chords with us! Free snacks after the rehearsal, too!

We are a bunch of guys, working hard everyday for ourselves and our families... and... we love to sing barbershop harmony! We are a volunteer, nonprofit organization. We have no formal office and there is no handsome, deep-voiced, bass waiting to answer the phone and help you - sorry! He's singing somewhere, we hope!
We use a third party automated service/provider for our phone voice messaging and contact form management. One of us usually receives your message (voice or e-mail audio file) sometime in the course of the day... but most likely retrieved in the evening.
Which means... we will do our best to return your call or inquiry as soon as possible... but probably not today!
AND... please note... that we usually need a two-week notice, at least, for a performance request. Our men need to move their schedules around to accommodate you. Happy to, too!
