Make a difference for our local rivers during the Connecticut River Conservancy’s 25th Annual Source to Sea Cleanup! Here in the Monadnock Region, we’ll focus on Ashuelot River Park (Friday, on foot or by canoe), Beaver Brook at Water Street in Keene (Saturday, on foot or by canoe), the Ashuelot River at Martell Court in Keene (Saturday, canoe only), and the Ashuelot River at the Cresson Covered Bridge on Sawyer’s Crossing Road in Swanzey (Saturday, canoe only). Some of the cleanup can be done on foot, but volunteers are encouraged to bring canoes and PFDs if possible, especially to the Ashuelot River sites. Trash bags and gloves will be provided. 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Keene and Swanzey. Please register online here. Co-sponsored by the Cheshire County Conservation District, the Ashuelot River Local Advisory Committee, the City of Keene, Keene State College, Moosewood Ecological, NH Water Works Association Young Professionals, the Harris Center for Conservation Education, and the Winchester Conservation Commission.
