This Tiny Home Design Workshop offers an intensive, 2-day experience in planning, designing and laying-out your Tiny Home.
So, you want to build your own Tiny Home – but where do you start? Do you need a permit? Do you build it on a foundation, or put it on a trailer? What are your options in finding and working with existing designs? How do you plan for electrics, water/sewer, or perhaps fit solar panels? This workshop will be answering all these questions and more.
Students in this Tiny Home Design Workshop will be working on a real project, designing a Tiny Home for Stonewall Farm’s Farmer. Students will determining the plan for the Tiny Home by looking at the available square footage, location site, and the list of “must haves”- with the goal to create a workable building plan, which will be used by Mill Hollow Works’ Project Layout and Framing Class to build the house.
Class topics include:
Legal considerations such as zoning & permits Working with an existing site (how to fit your house to your land) Building on a Trailer Designing for electrics, sewer & water vs off-grid Working with existing plans & where to find them Creating original plans Feb 26 & 27, 10-4pm at Stonewall Farm
