Tom Martin and Friends in Concert: Jazz Standards and Music from Broadway

Dublin’s Thomas R. Martin will be performing jazz standards and music from Broadway with his musical friends (to be named at a future date), on Saturday, August 14, starting at 3pm. The concert will be held in the Sanctuary Garden behind Dublin Community Church. The rain date will be the following day, Sunday, August 14, at the same time. Admission is free, however guests must register to save a spot here on eventbrite. The church is located at 1125 Main Street, Dublin. While there is no charge for admission, a collection will be taken with proceeds above the cost of the event to be shared between the Dublin Community Center and Dublin Community Church. Guests are encouraged to bring a lawn chair, the beverage of their choice and finger food. The DubHub will also provide hors d’oeuvres and additional beverages. Please park at Yankee Publishing or behind Dublin Town Hall. Tom’s love for this music is an outgrowth of his long-time work as musical director for theatre in Boston, Keene, Nashville, New York, and most recently for Keene State College and The Peterborough Players. As a result of his work on The Drowsy Chaperone at The Players, Tom was honored by the New Hampshire Theatre Awards for Best Musical Direction of a Professional Production. Tom formerly taught choral and instrumental music at Berklee College of Music and Keene High School. He is currently the Director of Music for the Dublin Community Church. He also plays piano for the Keene Jazz Orchestra, composes and arranges music, plays for private functions, and teaches private piano and voice. When not at a piano somewhere, Tom enjoys bicycling, sailing, travel, and honing his home improvement skills.
