This off-road adventure requires a high-clearance 4WD vehicle. Entering from the Hurricane Road side is generally easier, while the drive can be more challenging with narrow, steep, and rutted sections when entering from Glebe Road. Although the fire tower was removed in 2020, you can park and take a short walk up a service road to where it once stood. The area is now home to cell phone and radio towers. This is part of Hyland Hill State Forest.
