About this event

The DubHub features an evening of classical guitar, a fusion of Rumba flamenca, latin jazz, traditional flamenco and a touch of rock and roll, performed by Duo Nouveau (Colin Isotti & Andrew Szmauz) on Saturday, July 24, starting at 6pm. The concert will be held in the Garden Sanctuary behind Dublin Community Church (next door to the Dublin Community Center). Please park at Yankee Publishing, west of the DubHub, or across the road at Town Hall. Rain date is on Monday, July 26 at the same time. Doors open at 5pm. Bring a lawn chair. Check the weather and dress accoringly. Feel free to bring a picnic supper. The DubHub will provide hors d’oeuvres and dessert items. Tickets are $10 each. Guitarists Andrew Szmauz and Colin Isotti join forces as “Duo Nouveau” to bring a fusion of Rumba flamenca, classical, latin jazz, traditional flamenco and rock n roll styles to the stage. Formed during the pandemic in 2020, they carry a sound and title inspired by the album “Nouveau Flamenco” the seminal work of the genre melding guitarist Ottmar Liebert. With the Duo's versatile and expansive catalog, it would be no surprise to hear the works of Liebert and Johann Sebastian Bach played in the same concert, as well as the Bossa Novas of Antonio Carlos Jobim, the Brazilian flare of Celso Machado and the classic radio hits of bands like The Eagles. They cultivate an atmosphere suitable for the most sophisticated of events as well as for letting loose on the dance floor with the help of an arsenal of Latin rhythms.
