Event Details

Electric Earth Concerts is delighted to present David Breitman, fortepiano, on Monday, August 2 at 7:30 pm at the Townhouse in Peterborough. In addition to mostly Mozart, he will perform works by Haydn and C.P.E. Bach. One of America’s premier exponents of the historical piano brings his characteristic mix of intellect, virtuosity and poetry to a program of classical repertoire. Breitman performed Schubert’s song cycle, Winterreise with baritone Thomas Meglioranza for EEC in 2019, and was acclaimed baritone Sanford Sylvan’s long-time collaborator. Breitman directs the Historical Performance Program at Oberlin’s Conservatory of Music. To sample one of David’s performances, go to: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nqtCCZSI2P0. In order to share our concerts with as many of you as we can and so that everyone will feel safe and comfortable, we suggest masks and will arrange the seats to accommodate social distancing. Admission is $30, payable online or at the door. Students may attend for free. For further information, email joan.electricearth@gmail.com or call 603.499.6216.
