ONE AFTERNOON ONLY! Ten, vibrant Monadnock farms are opening their barns, pastures, hoop houses, kitchens, and pudding plant (!) for the community to experience their day-to-day lives working to bring food to our tables.
The Monadnock Farm Tour is one way we can celebrate the impact of farming operations on our local economy, the role they play in preserving open space, and how they contribute to our quality of life.
COST, TIPS, AND RULES: Cost: $5/pp or $10/car. Wrist bands will be sold at each farm DURING FARM TOUR HOURS ONLY. All money go towards producing the 2023 Monadnock Farm Tour. Monadnock Farm Tour Tips: – Bring cash, credit cards, and a cooler! Farms will be selling a host of products, snacks, clothing, and more! Some are cash only, others take venmo and debit cards. The cooler is to keep your food purchases fresh. – Plan on visiting two or three farms – After petting animals, please take time to use hand sanitizer provided at each farm – Wear shoes – no open-toed sandals. You have no idea what you might step in! AND farms may ask you to disinfect your shoes to prevent farm-to-farm transmission of germs. – Bring sunscreen, hats, bug spray, and water Rules: No pets allowed, no visiting farms after or before Tour hours, no entering farm homes. The 2022 Monadnock Farm Tour is produced by the Monadnock Farm and Community Coalition and the Monadnock Food Co-op.
