Movies Under the Stars

The City of Keene Parks and Recreation and Monadnock International Film Festival (MONIFF) today announced the 2024 season lineup for Movies Under the Stars, a free outdoor family movie series happening on the lawn at 312 Washington Street in Keene this summer! Movie nights are Thursday, June 27, Wednesday, July 17, and Thursday, August 8. Films will screen rain or shine, moving inside the Parks and Recreation gymnasium on Washington Street in the case of inclement weather. The schedule for the summer series is as follows: June 27 – BARBIE (PG-13) July 17 – Elemental (PG) August 8 – Top Gun: Maverick (PG-13) Register at using the Learn More link. All movies are free and family-friendly. Registration is recommended to receive timely notifications. Walk, bike, or carpool to 312 Washington Street. Parking is free and first-come, first-serve. Free water and popcorn provided. Guests can bring a blanket or lawn chair, grab some grub from the featured food vendor, CC&D’s Kitchen Market, sit back, relax, and enjoy the show with family and friends. Attendees can also bring their own food. Movies begin at dusk each week, typically around 8:30 pm, and the park will open as early as 6:00 pm before each film showing.
