21+ / 9pm / $10 cover Listen: https://www.owennied.com/ Owen Nied is a 22-year-old singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. As a solo artist, he performs high-energy, jazz-infused rock, blues and hip-hop with soulful vocals and virtuosic guitar playing. Owen also fronts the New York-based horn and guitar driven fusion/funk trio The Onlys, the Massachusetts jazz-grass jam band Cats in the Limelight and the London jazz duo Spooky Tricycle. Owen has been performing professionally since the age of eleven when he won a YouTube performance contest to become at featured performer at a music festival in Great Britain. Owen has toured the US, UK and France. He has trained at Berklee College of Music and the Vermont Jazz Center and has composed original music for modern dance and independent films. He is a senior at Hampshire College in Amherst, MA where he is completing his studies in music production and film while serving as an advisor to students interested in studying in London and Paris. He is also a photographer, poet and filmmaker. Owen lives in southern Vermont when not at college or touring.
