Play and Movement: Burlesque Series

The Keene Senior Center is excited to announce October’s wellness programs designed for FAB Gals - women age Fifty and Better. Instructor Sarita Drew continues her Play and Movement series with burlesque dancing to encourage movement, play, self-expression and self-care. Classes are three consecutive Tuesdays at 5:00 PM, beginning Oct. 11th. Oct. 11: Learn the history of burlesque and learn some basic dance moves. Oct. 18th: Make a bawdy fascinator hat to wear while dancing. Oct. 25th: Come dressed to dance and celebrate the beautiful art form of burlesque. Sarita Drew is a yoga instructor, and Play Educator for the Institute for Self Active Education where she provides workshops on how to utilize play as a tool for self-discovery, expression, and exploration. She also offers embodiment workshops that invite participants to engage lovingly and playfully with their bodies through movement and self-care rituals.
