Event Details

Come join SheJumps for an unforgettable sunrise hiking experience at Pack Monadnock!

About this event

Pack Monadnock Mountain is a classic summit in Southern New Hampshire and at 2,290’ it is the highest summit on the Wapack Trail, the first interstate trail system in the United States. Sunrise is scheduled for 5:18 a.m. and our assent will begin promptly at 3:00 a.m. Please plan to arrive early. This 2.7 mile out and back trail has a moderate difficulty rating: hikes rated as “moderate” usually ascend steadily at an incline that would be difficult for an unconditioned person to comfortably handle but should be manageable by anyone who is moderately active. It takes an average of 1 h 38 min to complete. We welcome all women and girls (transgender and cisgender) as well as non-binary people who identify with the women’s community. These items should be on your hiking checklist – we will review the ten essentials and will be ensuring all participants are packed and dressed for safety. • Hiking backpack • Weather-appropriate clothing (think moisture-wicking and layers) • Hiking boots or shoes • Plenty of food • Plenty of water • Navigation tools such as a map and compass • First-aid kit • Knife or multi-tool • The rest of the Ten Essentials as appropriate for your hike If you have challenges accessing the appropriate gear for this hike, reach out to [email protected] and we’ll help you! Visitors are expected to pay the $4 per person admission fee by feeding the Iron Ranger in the parking lot. Please plan accordingly and bring 4 one-dollar bills to help support the New Hampshire State Park System." --- All participants attending this event must agree to the SheJumps COVID Code of Conduct.
