Come learn the Finnish secret to happiness, a unique way of life that also promotes courage, strength, and wellness.
About this event
For the past decade, the United Nations has worked with Gallup to create an annual ranking of 150 countries worldwide, rating each according to how happy its citizens are. And for the past five years, Finland has held the number one position as the world's happiest nation – while the U.S. is sixteenth on the list.
Come learn the Finnish secret to happiness, a unique way of life that also promotes courage, strength, and wellness. This 90-minute workshop will be casual and lively, and it will include:
A happiness self-assessment
A group discussion of how America's current culture affects and limits how happy you feel
How Finland's culture promotes residents' well-being
How we can adopt Finnish ways here in America, applying them to our personal lives, communities, and nation
The core of this workshop is a book called "The Finnish Way," by journalist Katja Pantzar. A limited number of copies will be available at the workshop, courtesy of the kind folks at Toadstool Books, at a discounted price of 25% off retail.
You have nothing to lose but your blues...so come get happy!
